Feast Day of St. Padre Pio-via Facebook live

FEAST OF ST. PADRE PIO

Dear Friends,
The Feast of St. Padre Pio is on 23rd Sept. Given the situation, we won’t be able to have people in the Church for a second year in a row. That shouldn’t stop us from celebrating a great Saint in our lives. Here is the program of Triduum and Feast Mass on facebook live.
Triduum Novena and Mass – 23, 24 & 25th Sept at 9am. (Novena prayers are below).
Feast Day Mass – 26th Sept, Sunday at 10am followed by Blessing with the Holy Relic of St. Padre Pio.

Triduum Novena to St. Padre Pio

Day 1

Priest: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen.

All: Beloved St.Padre Pio, loving father, you bore the visible wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ on your body. You carried the Cross for all humanity. In bearing the physical and moral sufferings that continually tortured your body and soul you became a martyr of love for all people. We beg you to intercede for us with our Almighty Father that we may have the courage to accept the great and small crosses of life that transform individual suffering into a sure link that leads us to Eternal Life.

St. Padre Pio, virtuous father, you loved Our Blessed Mother very much. You were gifted every day with the graces and comforts that only She can give. We beg you to pray for us to our Heavenly Mother and place our sins and petitions in Her hands. May She intercede for us that Her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, may hear Her prayers on our behalf and inscribe our names in the Book of Life.

Oh Saint Padre Pio, crowned with glory, pray for me.
Oh lord, You have heard the prayers of Padre Pio, and have given him the grace of communion with You, have mercy on me in my despair, save me from my misfortunes, because I am unable to bear them. To you honour, praise and thanks forever!

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father.

Day 2

Priest: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen.

All: St. Padre Pio, together with Our Lord Jesus Christ, you have been able to withstand the temptations of the Devil. You suffered the beatings and the oppression of the demon of hell, who wanted to have you abandon your journey of holiness. Pray for us to God that through your intercession and in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we may find the spiritual courage to renounce sin and be strengthened in faith until death.

Chaste St. Padre Pio, you loved your Guardian Angel, who served you well as your guide and as a defender and messenger. The Angels brought the prayers of your spiritual children to you. We beg you to pray for us, so that we may learn to call on our Guardian Angel who is always ready to guide us to what is good and to avoid falling into sinful actions.

Day 3

Priest: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen.

All: Prudent St. Padre Pio, you have had a great devotion for the Souls in Purgatory for whom you have offered yourself as a victim to remit their punishments. Please pray for us and ask God to send us the same interest, compassion and love that you have for these souls. In this way, we will also contribute to reducing their suffering and, with our sacrifices and prayers, win for them their necessary Indulgences.

Humble St. Padre Pio, you who loved the Roman Catholic Church, pray for us so that the Divine Master may send workers to the harvest and give them the strength and knowledge needed to be children of God. Pray that Our Holy Lady will unite Christian people everywhere, comforting all of them in one great house of the Lord, the lighthouse of our salvation in the storm of life… just as a lighthouse is a beacon for safe return when there is a storm at sea.

PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART

Oh Lord Jesus Christ, to Your most Sacred Heart I confide this intention {name petition}.
Only look upon me, then do what Your love inspires. Let Your Sacred Heart decide.
I count on You. I trust in You. I throw myself on Your mercy. Lord Jesus, You will not fail me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Your love for me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, Your kingdom come.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I have asked You for many favours, but I earnestly implore this one.
Take it, place it in Your open Heart.
When the Eternal Father looks upon it, He will see it covered with Your Precious Blood.
It will be no longer my prayer, but Yours, Jesus. Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I place all my trust in You. Amen.

Stay with me Lord

Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present

so that I do not forget You.

You know how easily

I abandon You.

Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life, and without You, I am without fervour.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light, and without You, I am in darkness.

Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.

Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.

Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You very much, and always be in Your company.

Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.

Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be

a place of consolation for You,

a nest of love.

Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late, and the day is coming to a close, and life passes, death, judgment, eternity approach.

It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need You. It is getting late and death approaches.

I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need You, my Jesus,

in this night of exile.

Stay with me tonight, Jesus,

in life with all its dangers, I need You.

Let me recognise You as Your disciples did at the breaking of bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.

Stay with me Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to you, if not by Communion, at least by grace and love.

Stay with me Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation because I do not merit it, but the gift of Your presence, oh yes, I ask this of You.

Stay with me Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more. With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen.
